Cub camp badge 2009

- added 10 June 2009

Prior to this year's cub camp, we asked the cubs to design a badge to commemorate the event. The winning design was created by Luke, and has been made into a badge for the cubs to wear on their uniforms. Both the original design and the badge can be seen below.

About Ripley Cubs

The Cub Pack at 1st Ripley is open to boys and girls between the ages of 8 to 10½.

Pack meetings at 1st Ripley usually last 1½ hours and are held on mondays during school term time.
Cubs is an active organisation and activities are sometimes held at weekends in addition to the weekly meetings. Members are encouraged to take part in these activities.
Each member pays a Subscription Fee at the beginning of each term (after the Christmas School Break, after the Easter School Break and after the Summer School Break).

Admissions

New Members to the Pack are admitted under the following criteria:

  • Boys and girls who are already a member of the Group will always be offered a place in the next Section when they reach the right age.
  • Boys and girls who move into the area who are already members of the Scout Association.
  • Boys and girls whose parents are Leaders in the Scout Group or whose parents take an active role on the Group Executive Committee.
  • Siblings of Beavers, Cubs or Scouts.
  • Boys and girls of the appropriate age, in order of date of their entry to the waiting list*, living within the Group's catchment area.
  • Any other boys and girls of the appropriate age, in order of date of their entry to the waiting list*, living outside of the Group's catchment area.

Please read our family involvement policy before applying for a place.

*Please be aware that we currently have a substantial waiting list and as a result we unfortunately have to apply the above criteria very strictly. If you are thinking about joining our waiting list, you may first wish to make enquiries with other nearby groups in the Guildford East or Woking areas.
